It’s that time of year again. Everyone—from David Letterman to the news networks—will be publishing their 2011 “lists,” the best and the worst of 2011. Here at Energy Citizens, we’re taking a look back to appreciate how much we have accomplished in the last 12 months, understanding these efforts are only possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of every one of our nearly 600,000 members .
So, here it is: The best of Energy Citizens in 2011.
10. Nearly 20,000 Energy Citizens told the EPA that new greenhouse gas regulations would cost our struggling economy jobs. The EPA listened to you.

8. No New Energy Taxes! Energy Citizens across the country were active all year in fighting the rhetoric and misinformation about new energy taxes, generating tens of thousands of emails, calls, LTEs, personal letters, and meetings.
7. Many of you recognized the power of the media in spreading our message and refuting misinformation, placing LTEs around the county, including this one by Kim Baliman in Nebraska, “Help for Oil Patch”. Congratulations Kim!
