Why YOU Should "March" Online with Energy Citizens

We're capping off our September RALLY FOR JOBS with a Virtual Rally -- an online "March on Washington!" Let's unite from all around the nation and wake up Congress.

During the first two weeks of September we held events in Texas, Ohio, Illinois, New Mexico, and Colorado. Thousands of people took time out of their schedules to gather together and show their support for jobs -- and their opposition to new energy taxes.

But there are Energy Citizens in every state in the country -- and I know that many of you wanted to be part of our RALLY FOR JOBS. Now you can join the action -- online. Here's how...

Starting September 20 and running through September 24, visit our National Virtual Rally for Jobs website. Once you're in the Virtual Rally, you can show your support by uploading your photo, posting a comment, inviting others to "march," and writing your Members of Congress.

As a group taking action together, we'll draw attention. And we'll make sure that Congress hears our message: we need smart energy policies that create jobs, promote access to domestic resources, and strengthen our energy security.

See you at the NATIONAL VIRTUAL RALLY FOR JOBS. It will be fun -- and show Congress that energy development and jobs matter to Energy Citizens all over the nation!

  • What are we missing? We have light bulbs now that use  less than 25% that the standard ones do .We have "On Demand" water heating systems which only heat the water when you use it and a pre-heater system which is similar to the solar water heater used with swimming pools which pre- heat the water before the On Demand system which decreases the energy used for hot water.

For heating and cooling our houses, Geothermal systems which run on a water supply from something similar to a water well supply which recirculates the water or a serpentine water circulation system which is barried about 5 to 6 feet under the ground. They are used for both heating and cooling without any of the fluid used in a standard air conditioning system. It looks like it might be a better stimulos subjects than those we have been exposed to. A note on the solar systems would be to allow as many solar pannels as we wanted when we had the system installed on our house. Eliminate "net zero" and allow us to install a second bank of solar cells, feeding batteries to supply late evening needs if so desired. THis is food for thought. It already exists and in use now.

  • AMERICA  continues to WASTE over 70% of the energy it consumes.

Our hedonist energy waste is culturally pervasive, and abominable !

(1)100's of millions of lights burn unnecessarily during the day and night.

    (2) We overheat and overcool our homes, businesses, offices, churches, SCHOOLS, etc...

GOVERNMENT, Business, and Industry are the most egregious offenders.

    (3) Recycling is inadequate, over packaging is the norm, our landfills are busier than ever.  (Plastics are the ultimate polluter.)

    (4) Most Americans do not minimize their driving; road congestion is horrendous.

    (5) America's incessant obsession with road construction is the ultimate contradiction.

Only with a substantial and tangible dollar consequence, will most Americans care to conserve.  The economic impact of taxing energy would eliminate energy waste and over demand.  Crude oil must be taxed at $200  per barrel(55 gal) and 'offset' by making Federal Income Tax begin at $60k.  Until the price of gas is $6 to $8 per gallon, Americans will not reduce their over consumption and energy waste.  In the mean time, the USA continues its hedonist energy waste and gives away its economic and political wealth to the Middle East via OPEC who is glad to allow supply and demand market forces to eventually drive energy prices to $8/gallon.

Mass transit must become FREE, SAFE, CLEAN, and CONVENIENT, thereby rewarding those who reduce their driving.

The world cannot continue to support all the automakers.  Yet; Ford, GM, & Chrysler continue to 'do business as usual'.  Quickly, they must transition to the lucrative busine$$ of building solar and wind 'energy producers' for the world's 6.7 BILLION people reasons.  Their failure to innovate from energy consumption to energy production will cause their ruin.

Global warming continues to increase with our persistent waste and overuse of fossil fuels.  Extinction will be our reward if we fail to STOP the Energy WASTE.   Incentives necessary to create sustainable and renewable energy supplies will occur only if we implement the economics of Taxing Energy.
