Right now, New York’s state legislature is considering two bills that would ban the sale of new ICEVs and require 100% of new vehicles sold in the state by 2035 to be electric. This move would take away a New Yorkers’ right to choose which vehicles are right for them and place an unnecessary burden on lower and middle-class citizens of our state.

It’s no secret that electric vehicles cost more than traditional vehicles. But it’s also true that automakers are moving towards electric vehicles on their own accord, and that gas-powered vehicles are becoming more efficient. Put simply, consumers in the marketplace should decide the future of vehicles.

We support consumer choice; we don’t support government mandating which vehicles everyone must purchase. Sign up to stay up to date!
