By the Numbers: West Virginia’s natural gas and oil supports more than 73,000 jobs, provides over $4.7 billion in wages and contributes more than $12.8 billion to the state’s economy. 

In addition, energy made, refined, grown, and transported here helps keep energy affordable for the families that rely on it. And by making more energy here, we can rely less on foreign sources, bolstering our energy security.

What We Do: Energy Citizens advocate for government policies that help ensure access to affordable and reliable energy and challenge those that restrict the type of energy we can use, increase costs, and ultimately leave West Virginia behind.
