In fact, leases issued under President Clinton still provide the largest share of U.S. offshore crude oil production today. And leases granted under President Reagan still produce nearly 19% of U.S. offshore crude oil almost 40 years later!

Despite this long-term impact, previous administrations have slowed—or even halted—lease sales, jeopardizing our energy future. Without new leases, production stalls, along with the jobs, economic growth, and energy security that comes with it.
