Four members of the Colorado legislature proposed a bill that would outright ban new oil and natural gas production and gut $48 billion from Colorado’s economy.

Did you know that today the oil and gas industry supports more than 300,000 jobs in Colorado? If passed, SB 159 would ban all new permit leasing – including the renewal of leases for existing projects. 

Colorado’s economy can’t afford this hit. Just last month, consumer prices rose an additional 3.1%. We can’t support legislation that could kill more than 12% of Colorado’s economy.
